人生3回目、そして約1年ぶりにラオスに来ました！この国の静かで素朴な空気感、何度来てもやっぱりたまらない。
Hi, I’m Hazuki, a hostel owner who absolutely loves Southeast Asia. This is my third time in Laos, and my first visit in about a year. No matter how many times I come, I can’t get enough of this country’s calm and simple atmosphere.
今回はバンビエンでがっつり遊んだ1日。結果的に「これぞバンビエン」という満喫コースになったので、実際にかかったお金と一緒にまとめます。

This was a full-on day of activities in Vang Vieng. It turned out to be a perfect “this is Vang Vieng” kind of experience, so I’m summarizing everything along with the actual costs.

朝はトゥクトゥクを1日チャーターしてスタート。10:00〜16:30で500,000キープ（約3,700円）。複数スポット回るならこれはかなり合理的。移動のたびに交渉するストレスもないし、待っててもらえるのがとってもありがたいです。ドライバーのおじさんは、私たちが遊んでいる間はハンモックで昼寝してて、これもまたラオスらしい光景。ちなみに フロントのお兄さんに事前に相場を聞いていたんだけど ほとんど同じでした。
We started the day by chartering a tuk-tuk for the whole day. From 10:00 to 16:30, it cost 500,000 kip (about ¥3,700). If you’re visiting multiple spots, this is very reasonable. You don’t have to negotiate every time you move, and having the driver wait is super convenient. The driver was napping in a hammock while we were playing, which felt very Laos. I had checked the price with the hotel staff beforehand, and it was basically the same.
まず向かったのはビューポイント。Pha Honekham View Pointの入山料は大人1人30,000キープ（約220円）。軽い気持ちで登ると普通にしんどい系の登山ですが、上からの景色はかなり良い。バンビエン特有のカルスト地形が一望できて、達成感も含めて満足度は高め。小3ぐらいなら登れるけどそれ以下はかなり厳しいかも。。軍手を持参するとよいです。靴は必ずスニーカーで。
Our first stop was a viewpoint. The entrance fee for Pha Honekham View Point is 30,000 kip (about ¥220) per adult. It looks easy at first, but it’s actually quite a tough climb. The view from the top is excellent, with a panoramic view of Vang Vieng’s karst landscape, and the sense of achievement makes it even better. Children around 3rd grade might manage, but younger kids could find it quite difficult. Bringing gloves is a good idea, and definitely wear sneakers.
そのあとはブルーラグーン3へ移動。入場料は2人分で60,000キープ（約440円）。ここ、思ってた以上に水が綺麗でびっくり。深さも3〜4mくらいあって、魚が見えるレベルの透明度。欧米バックパッカーが集まる理由がよく分かる場所です。普通に泳ぐだけじゃなくて、飛び込みやロープスイングもあって、完全に大人の遊び場〜〜〜！バックパッカーの聖地ってかんじ。
After that, we went to Blue Lagoon 3. The entrance fee for two people was 60,000 kip (about ¥440). The water was even clearer than expected, which was surprising. It’s about 3–4 meters deep, and you can see fish clearly. It’s easy to understand why so many Western backpackers gather here. It’s not just swimming—there’s cliff jumping and rope swings, making it a full-on adult playground. It really feels like a backpacker hotspot.
中でちょこちょこ食べたり飲んだりもしていて、アイスラテが50,000キープ（約370円）、フライドポテトが70,000キープ（約520円）、バックラパオチキンが65,000キープ（約480円）。観光地価格なのでローカルよりはかなり高めだけど、日本と比べるとまだ全然安い。あと有料ロッカーもあって20,000キープ（約150円）。貴重品あるならこれは便利！
We also ate and drank a bit inside. An iced latte was 50,000 kip (about ¥370), French fries were 70,000 kip (about ¥520), and basil chicken was 65,000 kip (about ¥480). Since it’s a tourist spot, it’s more expensive than local prices, but still cheap compared to Japan. There are also paid lockers for 20,000 kip (about ¥150), which is very convenient if you have valuables.
ひと通り遊んで街に戻ってきたあと、アイス屋でサンデーを食べて18,000キープ（約130円）。こういうちょっとしたご褒美が安いのはやっぱ最高。
After playing, we went back to town and had a sundae at an ice cream shop for 18,000 kip (about ¥130). These small treats being so cheap is one of the best parts.
夜はナイトマーケットでご飯。ここがまた楽しいんだよなあ〜〜。観光客もローカルも買い物します。かなり安く済みます。買ったものはこんな感じ。
At night, we ate at the night market. It’s such a fun place. Both tourists and locals shop there, and it’s very affordable. Here’s what we got.
ドラゴンフルーツ 20,000キープ（約150円）
マンゴー 20,000キープ（約150円）
バナナチップス2袋 50,000キープ（約370円）
ハツ串2本＋ソーセージ 40,000キープ（約290円）
ロティ 25,000キープ（約180円）
炭火焼き鳥 100,000キープ（約740円）
Dragon fruit: 20,000 kip (about ¥150)
Mango: 20,000 kip (about ¥150)
Banana chips (2 bags): 50,000 kip (about ¥370)
2 heart skewers + sausage: 40,000 kip (about ¥290)
Roti: 25,000 kip (about ¥180)
Charcoal grilled chicken: 100,000 kip (about ¥740)
これだけ食べてもトータルでかなり安い。味もシンプルに美味しいし、屋台で選びながら食べる楽しさも含めて満足度高いです。
Even with all this food, the total is still very cheap. The taste is simply good, and choosing and eating from street stalls makes it even more enjoyable.
こうして1日振り返ると、アクティビティも移動も食事も全部込みで、かなりコスパよく遊べたなという印象。トゥクトゥクチャーターが3,700円なのに対して、遊びと食事はそれ以下で収まる場面も多くて、やっぱりラオスは「遊び方次第でかなり安く楽しめる国」だと実感しました。
Looking back on the day, including activities, transport, and food, it felt very cost-effective. The tuk-tuk charter alone was ¥3,700, but many of the activities and meals cost less than that, which really shows that Laos is a country where you can have a great time at a low cost depending on how you travel.

トゥクトゥク込みでこれなので、1日しっかり遊んでこの金額ならかなりコスパ良いんじゃないかな？
This includes the tuk-tuk, so for a full day of activities, this is pretty good value for money.
バンビエンは自然も遊びもコンパクトにまとまっていて、1日でもしっかり満足できるのがいいところ。でも移動も疲れるので最低2泊、できればもっとしたいところ。次来るときも、たぶんまた同じルートで遊ぶと思います。あ〜楽しい！
Vang Vieng is great because nature and activities are all compact and you can be fully satisfied even in one day. But the travel itself can be tiring, so I’d recommend at least two nights, ideally more. Next time, I’ll probably do the same route again. So much fun!
