旅の魅力といえば、おいしい食べ物や美しい景色を思い浮かべる方も多いと思います。もちろんそれらも素晴らしい思い出ですが、後になって振り返ると、私の心に残っているのは「旅先で出会った人たち」でした。

何気ない会話、一緒に過ごした時間、偶然の出会い。そんな人とのつながりこそが、旅を特別なものにしてくれるのだと思います。

このホステルでも、日常に戻ったあとにふと思い出してもらえるような出会いのある旅のお手伝いができたら、とても幸せです。そしてゲストの皆さまをご案内しながら、私自身も広島の魅力をもっと深く知り続けたいと思っています。

ホステルのスタッフ募集について

広島市 中区 本川町にあるホステル「THE EVERGREEN HOSTEL」では、現在【住み込みスタッフ】のみを募集しています。

平和記念公園や原爆ドームに徒歩で行ける好立地にあるので、日本の観光客だけでなく外国からお越しの方も多数いらっしゃいます。

✪注意✪「英語を話したい！」という熱意を持って応募してくださる方が多く、大変うれしく思っています。

ただし、実際の業務時間の大半は、ゲストとの会話ではなく、館内清掃やベッドメイクなどの地道な作業です。

チェックイン・チェックアウト対応、館内清掃、ベッドメイク、観光案内など、ホステル運営に必要な業務を一通り担当していただきます。そのため、最終的には一人でも自信を持ってフロントに立ち、ゲストをご案内できる責任感のある方を求めています。

私たちにとって最も大切なのは、「英語を学ぶこと」ではなく、「ゲストに快適な滞在を提供すること」です。

結果として語学力向上につながることは十分にありますし、それは私たちもとてもうれしく思います。しかし、語学学習そのものを主な目的にしている方よりも、清掃や日々の細かな業務にも誠実に取り組み、清潔で居心地の良い空間づくりそのものにやりがいを感じられる方を歓迎します。

ホステルは、人との交流だけでなく、見えない部分の積み重ねによって支えられています。その価値を理解し、地道な仕事にも前向きに取り組める方と一緒に働きたいと考えています。

募集内容

①住み込みスタッフ(フリーアコモデーション)

We are a small and welcoming hostel that has been running for 10 years in the heart of Hiroshima. Our guests come from all over the world, creating a vibrant, international atmosphere.

Just a 5-minute walk from the world-famous Atomic Bomb Dome and easy access to Miyajima Island?both UNESCO World Heritage Sites?our hostel is perfectly located for exploring both the historical and natural beauty of the region.

■Help
I won’t be able to reply to inquiries from people who clearly haven’t read the profile. I hope you understand, as responding to those messages would take time away from other potential workawayers to come here.

*We only accept one volunteer at a time and do not accept short stays.

■Minimum Stay:6 weeks minimum (up to 3 months)
A Japanese Working Holiday, Student, or Work Visa is required.
Please contact your embassy directly regarding visa questions.

■Who This Position Is For
This is not just a cleaning position.
The core value of our hostel is creating connections between people from different countries and cultures.

We are looking for someone who is social, proactive, and genuinely enjoys interacting with guests. If you prefer waiting for instructions or spending most of your free time alone, this may not be the right fit.

■Your Main Responsibilities
Cleaning
・Cleaning dormitories, toilets, showers, kitchen, and common areas
・Making beds and maintaining hostel cleanliness

Guest Interaction (Very Important)
・Welcoming guests with a smile
・Starting conversations during check-in and throughout the day
・Talking with Japanese guests in simple English
・Greeting guests whenever they enter or leave
・Helping create a friendly atmosphere in the lounge
・Encouraging communication between guests

Reception
・Providing basic information about the hostel and Hiroshima

Content Creation
・At least 2 Instagram posts per week
・Writing occasional travel-related content

Event Support
・Helping with language exchange events and community activities

■What We Expect
・A positive attitude and strong communication skills
・Attention to cleanliness and detail
・Reliable communication and reporting
・A willingness to learn basic Japanese
・Initiative and self-motivation

■Please Note!!!
Most of our guests are international travelers, and there are relatively few Japanese guests.

If your primary goal is to improve your Japanese language skills or experience daily life mainly through interaction with locals, this may not be the best placement for you.

If you love meeting people from around the world and helping create memorable experiences for travelers, we’d love to hear from you.

■What We Provide
・A bed in our dormitory, shared with our guests. (No private rooms available.)
・Hourly wage: 1,000 yen/hour (available only for working holiday visa holders).
・Unlimited free internet access.
・One bath towel per week.
・Pasta and seasoning (currently we do not provide rice)
*Note: We maintain a quiet and respectful environment?loud parties are not allowed.
