Working at Hazuki’s has been the perfect coronation to my solo journey in Japan.
Hazuki is an easy going and hardworking lady, patient and communicative, and very inspiring and generous as well. Her hostel is conveniently located a few minutes walk from the A-Bomb Dome and the work is simple and straightforward – mainly on morning shifts about tidying shared spaces, cleaning the dorms and handling check ins. I can’t explain how much fun I had during my stay, by welcoming backpackers coming from every corner of the world and by experiencing the city of Hiroshima as a local. With a fully furnished kitchen and cozy lounge, I simply loved living here with the other workawaiers.
Hazuki! Domo arigatou gozaimasu for this opportunity and for all the time spent with us volunteers. I can’t put into words how much I enjoyed my time here, aaah I already miss it a lot. Hiroshima and your place will forever be special to me.
