This was my very first Workaway experience, and it couldn’t have been any better! The job is not hard – you can take your time doing it, no pressure. The host is very nice and very welcoming. She really wants the workawayers to be happy and comfortable, and to have a great experience with the job, with Hiroshima and with Japan. Hazuki-san is flexible when it comes to the schedule, and also very quick to help with things non-work-related, like organizing activities and trips. I absolutely loved my experience at the hostel! The atmosphere at the hostel is incredible, especially when people sit in the common room to talk about their day, and their travel experiences. Strong bonds are built between the staff and the guests, and it makes the whole experience very memorable. Also, Hiroshima is an incredible place! I would recommend this hostel for any workawayer who wants to have a fantastic experience in Japan. I’m very grateful to Hazuki-san for giving me this first opportunity to do a workaway assignment. It taught me a lot, and allowed me to enjoy Japanese culture and to be in contact with many other travellers. I would work here again without any hesitation!
