Today was my first time cycling in Japan. It felt like Tetris, a lot of people, nobody gets out of the way and I had to somehow make my way through the people. And I don’t think anyone uses the bicycle bell, so I didn’t either. But it was still nice and I got to the Hiroshima City Manga Library that way.
They have loads of manga titles on site and a selection of English manga too, so I highly recommend it. If you leave your name, (hostel) address and telephone number, you can also read the manga outside in the park.
As you can see from the pictures, that’s what I did. 1. Jungle Emperor Leo: I loved the film series about the white lion when I was a child.
2. Barefoot Gen is a trilogy in which the author depicts life during World War II and after the bomb was dropped with autobiographical references. If you don’t know it, you should take a look to find out more about the history of Hiroshima.
