The cold weather has been continuing these days. Is it because of a cold wave? It\u2019s surprising that we got a few inches of snow in Hiroshima. It\u2019s cold, but winter is the best season for oysters\u266a<\/p>\n<p>I went out to eat tempura of oysters, which is available only during winter!<br \/>\nThe place I visited is \u201cAtsuatsu Agetate Tetchan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.atsuatsu.jp\/\"> http:\/\/www.atsuatsu.jp\/<\/a><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6141\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/1.png\" alt=\"1\" width=\"370\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/1.png 370w, http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/1-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 370px) 100vw, 370px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They serve freshly-fried tempura right after they make it. They are friendly on the wallet, too. (My husband likes this restaurant very much, so we come here often. I visited Aosaki Branch.)<\/p>\n<p>You have to buy your food ticket at the entrance.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6142\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/2-1.png\" alt=\"2\" width=\"215\" height=\"379\" srcset=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/2-1.png 215w, http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/2-1-170x300.png 170w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 215px) 100vw, 215px\" \/><br \/>\nI chose a set meal with raw oyster tempura. It\u2019s available only from November to April. It says \u201craw,\u201d but the oysters are fried! Well, why do they write \u201craw\u201d oyster? You can sit anywhere you want. (A waiter sometimes directs you to your seat.) A waiter brings the trays for the number of people.<br \/>\nAnd then, he brings rice, miso soup, tempura sauce with plentiful daikon (Japanese radish) and a plate for tempura.<\/p>\n<p>They serve a big serving of rice at no extra cost. It depends on the branch you go, but you can refill your rice once for free during weekdays. I think it\u2019s good especially for men. You can refill your rice once for free at Aosaki Branch.<\/p>\n<p>Tempura sauce was topped with plentiful daikon! (You can exclude daikon if you don\u2019t like it.) Daikon is good for the digestive system and it\u2019s called \u201cnatural stomach medicine.\u201d You may feel heavy in the stomach when you eat tempura, so it\u2019s good to eat tempura with daikon\u266a You can order an additional plate of grated daikon and tempura sauce for free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>There are three kinds of Japanese pickles on the table. You can eat them as much as you want. Tempura sauce tastes nice, but you can adjust the seasoning by using salt, soy sauce and hot pepper on the table.<\/p>\n<p>Tempura was served after a few minutes. Tempura was of course freshly fried!! How luxurious! What a treat! It\u2019s very difficult to get freshly-fried tempura.<br \/>\nI\u2019m busy when I make deep-fried food at home\u2026 So, I got excited when I ate the freshly-fried tempura!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6144\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/4.png\" alt=\"4\" width=\"400\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/4.png 400w, http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/4-300x164.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The tempura included the followings:<br \/>\n\u201clotus root\u201d: It was sweetish and has soft and flaky texture. Lotus root lovers can\u2019t resist it.<br \/>\n\u201csquash\u201d: It wasn\u2019t deep fried. It was sweet and delicious.<br \/>\n\u201ccutlass fish\u201d: I was amazed at its length! It was longer than a shrimp. It was tender and delicious.<br \/>\n\u201coyster\u201d: There were 6 big oysters! I was satisfied with them because they were all plump.<\/p>\n<p>My husband gave me a shrimp and my son gave me a small piece of taiyaki tempura (a fish-shaped pancake filled with red bean paste). I craved for sweets. It was delicious! I was very happy. I really enjoyed the meal!<\/p>\n<p>Since it was deep-fried food, I was with a full belly. Especially the taiyaki tempura\u2026 The pancake of the taiyaki and deep fry batter were both wheat\u2026 I couldn\u2019t eat today\u2019s dinner.
