I went to shrine in Fukuyama the other day. The purpose for visiting was to draw an omikuji to predict my fortune for the future!<br \/>\nThe place I visited was Kusado Inari-jinja.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6183\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/1-5.png\" alt=\"1\" width=\"252\" height=\"203\" \/><br \/>\nTrue to its name, not only <em>torii<\/em> (entrance gate) but also ornamental parapets are in bright red.\u00a0 So, the shrine is conspicuous at a distance.\u00a0 The bridge in front of the shrine is also in bright red.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6184\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/2-6.png\" alt=\"2\" width=\"209\" height=\"295\" \/><br \/>\nIt is said that the shrine is one of the three major Inari-jinja in Japan. It\u2019s easily accessible by car or taxi compared to bus.<br \/>\nThe shrine itself is not so big. It\u2019s not an observatory deck, but you can go up the main shrine and you can have a grandstand view of Fukuyama city there.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6185\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/3-5.png\" alt=\"3\" width=\"305\" height=\"204\" srcset=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/3-5.png 305w, http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/3-5-300x201.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 305px) 100vw, 305px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Well, there\u2019s more to come! The reason why I visited the shrine was that I heard that I can draw an omikuji that says \u201cperfect luck (dai-dai-kichi).\u201d (lol)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6186\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/4-4.png\" alt=\"4\" width=\"210\" height=\"308\" srcset=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/4-4.png 210w, http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/4-4-205x300.png 205w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Perfect luck is better than excellent luck (dai-kichi)! It feels great when the omikuji in the beginning of the year is perfect luck! I had some tough times last year, so I think I can draw an omikuji that says perfect luck!? OK, let\u2019s do it!<\/p>\n<p>For your information, Kusado Inari-jinja is famous for a high ratio of drawing an omikuji that says perfect luck in Japan. Really? It\u2019s worth a try!<br \/>\nLet\u2019s try! I drew 4 times on behalf of my family. One of them might be perfect luck. (lol) But I drew excellent luck.<br \/>\nI started to think that I was lucky because I could draw 4 different types of omikuji from excellent luck to uncertain luck.<\/p>\n<p>Because I drew 4 omikuji, all of them had different advices. For example, one omikuji says \u201cyou shouldn\u2019t go on a trip,\u201d but the other one says \u201cyou should go on a trip.\u201d<br \/>\nBy the way, the followings are the types of omikuji (from good to bad): excellent luck (dai-kichi), middle luck (chu-kichi), small luck (sho-kichi), general luck (kichi), uncertain luck (sue-kichi), bad luck (kyo) and worst luck (dai-kyo).<\/p>\n<p>Well, I had fun though.
