I looked up on the Internet and found out that it\u2019s the only hot spring in the town.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/ondo-onsen.boo.jp\/wordpress\/\">the website<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cOndo Onsen is a hot spring where the former manager <\/strong><strong>struggled for 12 years<\/strong><strong> since 1972 to strike the\u00a0<\/strong><strong>hot spring at 850 meters below ground in his yard while running a sento (public bath) in Hiroshima.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I was impressed by Japanese culture of hot spring because he had spent so much time to make his dream come true.\u00a0 He dug 850 meters below ground to strike the hot spring. \u00a0His intensity of belief deserves respect!<\/p>\n<p>\u201c850 meters\u201d is the distance from our hostel to Hiroshima Bus Center.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4743\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/\u3042-300x117.gif\" alt=\"%e3%81%82\" width=\"300\" height=\"117\" srcset=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/\u3042-300x117.gif 300w, http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/\u3042-768x299.gif 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Finally, I made it to the onsen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4744\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/-e1481795984404-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"%e3%81%84\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You have to walk far from the hostel.\u00a0 However, it\u2019s close to Hatchobori, so I recommend you to go there when you visit Hatchobori.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s different from the retro image of sento; this public bath is on the second floor of the old building.<br \/>\n<strong>The fee is 430 yen.\u00a0 You can use hair dryers free of charge, but you have to buy the towel and shampoo.<\/strong><br \/>\nThere are hot saunas and three kinds of bathtubs: normal bath (chloride spring), herbal medicine bath and cold bath.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4745\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/-e1481796487637-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"%e3%81%88\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4746\" src=\"http:\/\/evergreenhostel.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/-e1481796517125-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"%e3%81%86\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u25c6Report &amp; Impression:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bath<br \/>\nIt\u2019s a whirlpool bath and you can massage your body.\u00a0 Personally speaking, I didn\u2019t like it.\u00a0 I had a feeling of restlessness because there were so many bubbles.\u00a0 (lol)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Opening hours<br \/>\nMany sentos in Hiroshima closes at 21:00 or 22:00, so it\u2019s glad that it opens until 1:00 in the morning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Hot sauna<br \/>\nHot springs, pools and saunas in Japan are much the same as in Taiwan, but there\u2019s a TV in the sauna!!!!\u00a0 (What?\u00a0 Is it pretty common in Japan?)\u00a0 I was surprised at this!\u00a0 I worried unnecessarily like <strong>\u201cCan this TV withstand a high temperature of this hot sauna?\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 I thought it would be nice if there were TVs in hot saunas in Taiwan!<\/li>\n<li>Shower head<br \/>\nShower heads are fixed on the wall, so you have to take a shower while being seated on the bath stool.\u00a0 It might be difficult for people who are tall to wash your body.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Vending machine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vending machines are located in each changing room.\u00a0 You can buy Pocari Sweat, orange juice, energy drinks, etc.<br \/>\nThere were no coffee and milk!\u00a0 (I wanted to try <strong>\u201cCaf\u00e9 au lait after taking a bath\u201d<\/strong> but there was no caf\u00e9 au lait, too.)<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6In conclusion:<\/p>\n<p>I recommend this sento to the guests who check in our hostel late at night.<br \/>\nYou can enjoy your late dinner after taking a bath because many restaurants around the sento stay open until late at night!\u00a0 What do you think?^^<\/p>\n<p><u>\u3010<\/u><u>Ondo Onsen<\/u><u>\u3011<\/u><br \/>\nAddress: 6-3 Tanaka-machi Naka-ku, Hiroshima<br \/>\nOpen every day from 13:00 to 1:00<\/p>\n<p>The second and fourth Sundays of every month are closed.<br \/>\nFee: Middle-school students or above 430 yen<\/p>\n<h6><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m14!1m8!1m3!1d13170.047487314212!2d132.4643196!3d34.3883333!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x0%3A0x915cb705bdcd0db3!2z6Z-z5oi45rip5rOJ!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sjp!4v1481796301060\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/h6>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi, I\u2019m YU from Taiwan.\u3000It has been 6 months since I came to Hiroshima and 3 months since I started working at THE EVERGREEN HOSTEL.
